Dr Dawdy grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. He is an orthopaedic surgeon who began practice in Kitchener-Waterloo in August 2024.
Dr Dawdy completed his orthopaedic surgery residency through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (2022). Prior to this he obtained a kinesiology degree from Western University followed by his medical degree from St Georges University.
After residency Dr Dawdy completed two fellowships. First, he completed a sports and upper extremity reconstruction fellowship with Dr. Peter MacDonald at Pan Am Clinic. (2022-2023). During his time in Winnipeg he assisted with team physician coverage for a number of sports teams including WHL, AHL, and CIS level hockey teams. Dr Dawdy then completed a certified AO Trauma fellowship through the University of Toronto at Sunnybrook Hospital (2023-2024) with a focus on complex trauma and reconstruction procedures. Dr Dawdy has participated in upper extremity research focusing on total shoulder arthroplasty and shoulder instability, presenting this work at national meetings.
Dr Dawdy’s elective practice takes interest in both arthroscopic and open procedures of the upper and lower extremities. This includes shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacements, elbow arthroscopy, elbow replacements, hip replacements, knee replacements, and knee arthroscopy. His trauma practice covers operative and non-operative adult and pediatric trauma.
